el día 19

I knew this would be the case… the diet is so much easier to follow at home than on the road… but I am maximizing my time on the weekends and really getting the hang of it… case in point – broiled sea bass and steamed veggies for dinner Mmm… good!

day 18...

plodding along this week.  the newness wears off and i sense this is the time where dedication is tried and tested.  i’ve been adhering to the diet but missed a workout this week while stuck at the office until late.  reading the other blogs help put things in perspective because it appears that no one else is perfect.  i’ve scooped up a mini bandwagon here at work and home where others have taken on some of the pcp tenets… such as no drinking or following the general  diet.  i’ve noted the motivation that this gives… and i appreciate it.

day 13

i've gotten to where i can go about 50 jumps before i smack myself in the shin but... baby steps, right.  at least it’s coordination issue and not conditioning… or is it?!?!  (i know it’s both J.)  we’re coming to the end of week 2… and i find it interesting to compare our musings to those pcp-ers in their 6th and 10th weeks.  i’m looking forward to learning more and seeing lessons -> become habits -> become ways of life.

日イレブン

day eleven... i'm getting more comfortable judging portions and choosing the right foods without the scale or cheat sheet.  the workouts have just started to rev up and i’m appreciating tapping into muscles that i usually don’t.  my body is also starting to change somewhat… and i’m liking that!  i’ve also taken to reading everyone else’e blogs which is a good source of motivation.  all in all good spirits and good enthusiasm.

friday... FRIDAY!

... and so it has begun.  (you'll find that i am a big fan of the ellipsis...)  it's day 5 and i feel good.  the half meals have been reasonable, which is important getting started since i live in a hotel during the week.  it's helped me pay more attention to what i'm eating instead of mindlessly eating 'whatever' as i dash between meetings.  i dig the workouts because it has forced some variety into my routine... i usually hop on the treadmill or elliptical machine for 45 min when i do make it to the gym... so this is waking up new body parts and been much more engaging.

i stole took a long term lease on a jumprope from the hotel and i've got the food scale... preparing for week 2!

i've got a lot of enthusiasm (right now) for this program so thanks to craig for advertising!
